Did you watch Apple's Keynote last night? If not, here are the three things you should know about.
Apple claims that the only thing that’s changed is everything. However, it's a relief to confirm what was expected -- the new iPhone 6S and 6S Plus comes in the same dimensions as the previous one.
You can enjoy your Danny P. iPhone 6 / 6 Plus wallet case for at least another year, and that counts:)
Things really don't look too different on the outside, rather it’s the inside that Apple worked on. To be more specific, the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus is equipped with three major improvements -- 3D Touch, a 12-megapixel camera and a A9 chip (see details on their website).
Will the new iPhone redefine the way people use smartphones? We don’t think so. However, “S” updates have always been like that, so let's just enjoy the new features Apple prepared for us.
Imagine you have a 13-inch MacBook. Now, tear off its keyboard, add a touchscreen and switch from OS X to iOS -- you've just created the new iPad Pro!
Apple calls it the biggest news in iPad since iPad, and they're quite right -- this thing comes with a 12.9-inch Retina display!
If you watch the videos Apple used to introduce the iPad Pro, it looks so futuristic that you'll just want to own the device -- right here, right now.
We can't imagine you buying one of these and carrying it with you with no protection whatsoever (also, we can't wait to see someone taking pictures with it:). That's why we've already started working on a new product.
We'll introduce a new leather cover that will protect your iPad Pro (or your 13-inch MacBook Air) and also accommodate everything you need to have on hand while working on the go -- business cards, notepad, even the Apple Pencil.
Stay tuned, more details about the product are coming soon.
The Apple Watch didn't get any new game-changing features. What we like is the integration of third-party complications (in the watch world, a complication is a good thing), which should let us access information more easily.
The Apple TV, on the other hand, got some major improvements: It has finally become an all-round multimedia center. That basically means you don't need anything else -- no other movie player, no music player, no game consoles.
In addition to all this, Apple also upgraded its TV with Siri voice control, as well as a redesigned remote control, a new iOS-based operating system called tvOS and other improvements.
We got what we expected and what we hoped for. An improved, but not dramatically changed iPhone, a pleasantly surprising iPad Pro and some minor changes to other products.
How about you? Did you expect more from Apple?
